As the founder of Kandid Communications, Kim has over 20 years working as a communications professional in all facets of business, coaching, marketing and collaborating with teams of professionals. For years she has developed strategy plans, coached entrepreneurs and leaders. She is trained in the principles of professional coaching, based on the International Coaching Federation (ICF), as well in the area of transformational leadership coaching.
MARKETING/COMMUNICATIONS
Austin-based entrepreneur, strategist, and marketing communications executive dedicated to helping companies and leaders maximize their value in the marketplace. She brings a deep skill set in marketing, communications, branding and PR in everything from launching a new business or product to raising shareholder value, maximizing revenue growth, and passing voter referendums. With Kandid Communications, she provides a full-service marketing strategy and branding consulting services representing and connecting innovators, startups and high-growth companies with vital resources and strategies for success. She serves a broad set of industries in the technology, financial, education, media/communications, government and non-profit sectors.
STRATEGIC ADVOCACY
For years, Kim Allen has led effective communications and issue advocacy campaigns in all facets of business, politics, and non-profits. She actively advises startups in the tech, medical, environmental, digital on-line and education tech arena, has directed communication campaigns resulting in the passage of a $369 million bond and has served as a consultant for Facebook.com on growing their “for good” network in Africa, Asia and South America.
With a passion for education and entrepreneurship, she helped found an authentic entrepreneurial program for high school students in Central Texas, and has collaborated with Pledge 1% companies in the Salesforce arena seeking to create a sustainable career path for active duty military seeking to transition to a career in high tech.
Whether it is securing a coveted award at Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the passage of school funding with a 90% victory, or launching the largest Lean Startup program for high school students in the area, Kim’s passion for her client’s cause gets results.
She holds a BA from the University of Texas, a MA from Texas State, and studied at the University of Seville, Spain. Kim completed 11 months of coursework and in-field coaching with a master coach through Advancing Ministries Coaching Academy to become a certified Transformational Coach with experience in individual and group coaching and workshop facilitation.
